It's been five years since I posted textures and some of them were even made that long ago. The others were made last weekend. I have three sets because some were still made for contextures in 100x100 and 200x200. Then I have some animated textures which I have all used before (except for one). I'm afraid they are all rather big, but it should definitely be possible to get icons under 40kb ;)

Happy Halloween!

This might sound weird, but I kinda forgot to update this journal o.O
I even had a plan to make an update last week (as always, there are a lot of unposted icons on my hard drive), but somehow didn't. So here's another texture set, this time Halloween-themed.

contextures had a series of challenges covering the whole alphabet, perfect to make one big texture set. The idea of using fonts for many of the decorative textures in this set comes from this awesome guide :)

Most of these are old contextures entries (January - today) and the others are rejects from the most recent challenge ;)
For the name I googled "quotes about paint" and found something from Vincent Van Gogh:
"If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced."

Finally(!) the last of the old texture battle sets (as you might know by now, the files include the name of the user that provided the material which was used for making the particular texture) and the three medium textures were made for a contextures challenge. I guess this means I have to make more new textures now if I want to post more textures here.

Finally another update! This is another set from the old texture battle, so again the files include the name of the user that provided the material which was used for making the particular texture. Since the textures in this set are rather diverse, I'm going to include the individual textures behind a spoiler tag.

This is finally one of the texture sets I made for the battle in 2011. So far I've always been too lazy to sort them into proper sets. Well, there are four more to come ;)
This is the set I actually submitted, so it's a rather mixed bunch. The other four sets look a little more organized. All files include the name of the user that provided the material which was used for making the particular texture.

I finally finished this texture set, it's still a little small though. I started it right after seeing this by fuuurs, but only managed to finish it today. Most texture in this set are based on the grunge tutorial from that entry.

It's been a while since I posted a texture set and I actually have more on my hard drive which I still need to sort into sets. I should really do that some time since I made them in January -.-

I tried something different with this set. I used screencaps from Hawaii Five-0 as a base (hence the name) and I think they turned out alright, just a little boring maybe ;)
