This time I only managed to make 10 icons for somein30. The October theme is Heroes vs. Villains and the inspiration post is gorgeous. Despite that, I had a hard time coming up with something to make even though I watch a lot of superhero/comic book media. I never really played around with the new 100kB for userpics, so I settled on making animated icons. However, I only did 5 of them. That means the "villain" portion of this set is really the star of the show. For everyone who doesn't like animated icons, I have also included basic alternates of all the icons in addition to the "regular" alternates.

Here are my icons for somein30. My goal was to make at least ten icons which I hit more than a week ago. I figured everything beyond that is a bonus and I actually ended up with twenty. Not on the last day either this time. I tried to make a coherent-looking set. I'm not sure I was 100% successful, but I am happy with a lot of these. You can hover over the icons for the specific themes, but I also posted the complete list of prompts below the icons. I used normal mode for all of them.

Look who is entering monthlyinspo on the last day again! The theme for February was "Box of chocolates" and Knives Out seemed perfect for it. Due to the setting and props, that's pretty much the movie's exact color palette. In addition to that, I wanted to stick to a more vintage style with these which I rarely do unless it's for a specific challenge. I think that worked out well. I also used the icons from the different themes in the post itself as an inspiration. For example, almond crunch is simple with negative space or caramel swirl has some handwritten text (texture) on it. Since they are rather different than what I usually do, I can at least keep the caps I saved and reuse them ;)

I have finally started reuploading the icons from Photobucket to ImgBB. I know it's not the ideal host, but it keeps the file names which makes replacing the links so much easier. I'm far from done though.
This is my entry for this month's monthlyinspo challenge. The theme is 2019 to 2020 and I picked five favorite new shows from 2019. If I stuck to favorite shows I started in 2019, this post would just be ten Turn icons again. I really took my time with these. I started shortly after the challenge went up, took a break for a week, and finished yesterday. No rushing to the deadline this time. Overall I'm really happy with how these turned out. Once again it's not the most coherent set though.

BEST OF 2019 - JOIN IN! | MY POLL

This is my first time entering themeofthemonth. I heard about the community a couple of days before this challenge was posted. The theme was Period Drama which was perfect timing since I had just finished watching TURN: Washington's Spies and I absolutely love the show. 8 was actually the first icon I made for the set, so I thought I'd something like a shorter rainbow again. To my own surprise, my personal favorites are the text icons. I'm really happy with how they turned out. That's the first part of this entry. The second part (since I didn't want to post only 10 icons again) are my icons for movieslims hence the abundance of alternates. I actually was the LIMS for this challenge which I didn't expect at all. I had not made icons in months when this round started, so every week I thought "Okay, this will be the last one for me."

It's been a while since my last entry. I took some time off from making icons, but since I wasn't sure how long that would be, I never made a proper announcement here. Well, I'm back to making icons and I'm pretty sure I have disappeared for three months and longer before lol
Photobucket blurred my icons, but I have started using ImgBB over a year ago. I have replaced everything going back to January 2017 since these were just single icons or certain fandoms. So far, I have collected all icons from before that, too. However, I'm not sure if I'll replace all of them or just replace the teasers and post imgur gallery links. To be honest, I do want this community, my graphics community, to look neat. We'll see.
This post contains my entry for this month's monthlyinspo challenge LGBT. I made a rainbow with simple single character icons and then added some couple icons to get to ten. These are all from the Arrowverse, because I wanted to kinda stick to one fandom.

The theme this month was "Opposites attract" which I used for far/cold vs. close/warm. I also tried to incorporate vibrant vs. more muted coloring, but I'm not sure I was that successful.

I don't think that many people follow me over there, but I thought I'd let you know that Tumblr deleted my account nearly two weeks ago. I have no real idea why and my two support requests have stayed unanswered. I didn't even get an e-mail with a ticket number or something like that.
Anyway, here is my (last-minute) entry for monthlyinspo. The theme was "Earth Day" and the inspiration post was so pretty. I think some of these are kinda lame, but I still like how most of these turned out. I didn't actually think I was going to make it, so I actually wanted to update with some other icons...that post will probably follow very soon.

Finally another proper icon post. It took me ages to finish my icons for monthlyinspo because I had no real plan what to do, even though I loved the theme "Night at the movies" using movie posters as inspiration. I'll elaborate a little further on that below the icons.

Once again I enter monthlyinspo on the last day. However, this time I started really early and took my time making the icons. I'm not that happy with most of them though. I feel like they are all over the place. These were not supposed to be all from Avengers: Infinity War, that just happened. I saw "2+ subjects" on the card and figured the movie would fit. Then I just saved a bunch of caps from it. I did three bingos and used five unused themes to get to 20.

I mentioned that I wanted to enter monthlyinspo this month and I actually managed to do it! It took me so long because I only really had a plan for ten icons (the latter half) and then had no idea what else to do. Now I even finished before the original deadline. It was extended until January 6 which made me really happy and then I completed the set today lol
This is the last post for 2018. However, I still have a bunch (80+) icons left from this year which I'm going to post in the next couple of days.

I did not want to disappear for so long, that just happened. The entire time I was still making icons, I never felt like updating though. Anyway, here are some brand new icons I made for this month's monthlyinspo challenge "Sorting Hat" and some LIMS entries from January. For the Sorting Hat challenge I focused characteristic of the different Hogwarts houses (adding the quotes form the inspiration post) since I like sorting characters into their houses :D

Again, this entry has two parts: My set for 10in30 and some Jessica Jones icons. Most of the latter were made for tvlims, hence the number of alternates. Some of them are from January which is why it was really time to post these.
RL is a little busy right now, so while I wanted to make some more icons after finishing my 20muses set, it just didn't work out. I just managed to finish the Gotham icons today. I already started on them before RL happened and didn't want to abandon the whole set. All things considered, I am rather happy with them. My plan to make vibrant icons for the villains worked out ;)

Why do I keep doing this? Again I started making the icons for 20muses when there was still plenty of time left and then just stopped and now only managed to finish them with the extension. Anyway, the theme was "keep it simple" which is perfect for me. I used the four different themes from the inspiration post and also used all of the different categories. Only for color I chose bold/vibrant since I'm always doing plenty of muted icons. I also tried that type of coloring on some of the other icons. Overall I'm not that satisfied with how the style of this set is all over the place, but there are some icons I'm rather happy with, especially with the coloring.
The second part of this post consists of all Daredevil icons I made so far this year, mostly from S1, which I wanted to post before really getting into S2 caps ;)

Here's my set for 20muses, finally. I'm cutting it very close because I kind of lost motivation after five icons, took a break and then made the rest in three days. The inspiration post for this challenge is amazing which is the reason I signed up in the first place. I claimed Galavant and Brooklyn Nine-Nine since I wasn't sure I could work with only Galavant, so I thought claiming the only other comedy I watch would fit best.

Finally the first post of the year! Actually, I could have been done with this ages ago (at least with the 10in30 set), but couldn't really decide what I wanted to do. I'm back to updating just once a month it seems, but I also have fewer icons to post since I'm not making that many at the moment for two reasons. First, like I said in my last entry, it's a hot summer and I have recurring back problems which prevent me from sitting down for extended periods of time. Anyway, I signed up for 20inspirations' Flashback challenge (+two lims contests) and actually made it thanks to the extension! I'm really cutting it close this time, so there are some icons I'm not that happy with, but I don't have the time to change anything before the deadline. Well, there are also icons I really like ;)
