The icons from The Mandalorian are still from the previous round of movieslims. I was the LIMS that round even though I was never completely satisfied with my icons. Unfortunately, I was eliminated during the current round (Knives Out). I was so excited about this round and hoped to get into the finale.

This time I only managed to make 10 icons for somein30. The October theme is Heroes vs. Villains and the inspiration post is gorgeous. Despite that, I had a hard time coming up with something to make even though I watch a lot of superhero/comic book media. I never really played around with the new 100kB for userpics, so I settled on making animated icons. However, I only did 5 of them. That means the "villain" portion of this set is really the star of the show. For everyone who doesn't like animated icons, I have also included basic alternates of all the icons in addition to the "regular" alternates.

Here are my icons for somein30. My goal was to make at least ten icons which I hit more than a week ago. I figured everything beyond that is a bonus and I actually ended up with twenty. Not on the last day either this time. I tried to make a coherent-looking set. I'm not sure I was 100% successful, but I am happy with a lot of these. You can hover over the icons for the specific themes, but I also posted the complete list of prompts below the icons. I used normal mode for all of them.

It's been a while. I barely made any icons in August since it was really hot which, for some reason, also meant that I didn't post the icons I already made in the months before that here. It probably made sense in my head. the7days had a really cool back to school challenge during that time which I would have loved to enter. I managed to make two icons (26 and 39 in this batch) -.-
Hopefully there will be some more icons coming this month since I signed up for somein30's first challenge. I added the promo banner again in this entry. Maybe more people will see it (and the one from movieslims) when I cross-post ;)

Two battles in one entry! The first one is The Witcher Season 1 battle organized (again!) by sietepecados. We all made one icon per episode (see results here). I went for a vintage theme which I think worked out well. The second one is the comedy battle organized by naginis. This one had two parts, themes and provided screencaps. To see the specific themes and everyone's icons go to this entry. I picked Galavant for the themes spontaneously (I wanted to do Brooklyn Nine-Nine first) since it fits better to The Witcher I'd say. I usually don't icon shows/movies I've never seen, so I made a rainbow with the provided caps which I actually really like. This is why I kept the one Galavant icon in that set of icons :D

I haven't really updated this community with any icons not made for specific challenges this year and this entry is no different. All but the first two of the Turn icons were made for the Period Drama Battle organized by sietepecados. You can check out everyone's pretty icons here (in opposite to me the other used a variety of fandoms^^). My icons are all over the place style-wise, but overall I'm happy with how they turned out. The Good Omens icons were made for movieslims, some of which I have already posted in January. I'm also still updating my old posts to replace the Photobucket links. It's going very slowly.

Look who is entering monthlyinspo on the last day again! The theme for February was "Box of chocolates" and Knives Out seemed perfect for it. Due to the setting and props, that's pretty much the movie's exact color palette. In addition to that, I wanted to stick to a more vintage style with these which I rarely do unless it's for a specific challenge. I think that worked out well. I also used the icons from the different themes in the post itself as an inspiration. For example, almond crunch is simple with negative space or caramel swirl has some handwritten text (texture) on it. Since they are rather different than what I usually do, I can at least keep the caps I saved and reuse them ;)

I have finally started reuploading the icons from Photobucket to ImgBB. I know it's not the ideal host, but it keeps the file names which makes replacing the links so much easier. I'm far from done though.
This is my entry for this month's monthlyinspo challenge. The theme is 2019 to 2020 and I picked five favorite new shows from 2019. If I stuck to favorite shows I started in 2019, this post would just be ten Turn icons again. I really took my time with these. I started shortly after the challenge went up, took a break for a week, and finished yesterday. No rushing to the deadline this time. Overall I'm really happy with how these turned out. Once again it's not the most coherent set though.
