Finally, my entry for somein30. The theme "All Things Random" was absolutely amazing and super inspiring. I started right away and made 1-2 icons per day, but then kinda lost momentum and really needed that extension. Nevertheless, I'm very happy with my set. Usually I lament the fact that it does not look coherent. This time I went into the opposite direction. I thought it would fit the theme to use as many different styles/techniques as possible. That didn't quite work out, but this time I like how chaotic the overall look is. I also really wanted to use 20 different fandoms which was much easier.

I did not want to disappear for so long, that just happened. The entire time I was still making icons, I never felt like updating though. Anyway, here are some brand new icons I made for this month's monthlyinspo challenge "Sorting Hat" and some LIMS entries from January. For the Sorting Hat challenge I focused characteristic of the different Hogwarts houses (adding the quotes form the inspiration post) since I like sorting characters into their houses :D

You may have noticed that there wasn't another update in December. Livejournal kinda stopped working for me for a couple of days. I decided to wait for the results of the last movie_lims round (Zootopia), so I would be able to post really ALL icons I made in 2016 (except for 015-021 which were made this week). I actually made it to the final three and overall placed third. I honestly thought that this particular round was awesome and challenging! The makers who participated were all great and it was hard to vote off someone every week. I'm looking forward to the next round :D

Lately RL has been pretty busy, so I was a little too lazy to update this journal. Sorry. However, I did spend some time on making icons! I have plenty of stuff to post now, although the majority of icons in this entry are rather old.

Why do I keep doing this? Again I started making the icons for 20muses when there was still plenty of time left and then just stopped and now only managed to finish them with the extension. Anyway, the theme was "keep it simple" which is perfect for me. I used the four different themes from the inspiration post and also used all of the different categories. Only for color I chose bold/vibrant since I'm always doing plenty of muted icons. I also tried that type of coloring on some of the other icons. Overall I'm not that satisfied with how the style of this set is all over the place, but there are some icons I'm rather happy with, especially with the coloring.
The second part of this post consists of all Daredevil icons I made so far this year, mostly from S1, which I wanted to post before really getting into S2 caps ;)

Summer is over! Not so sure about my back, so I'm still just concentrating on the two LIMS contests I signed up for and will hopefully make some icons for tmfaction after that since I haven't participated in the last two months either. Anyway, another post I'm rather happy with, again due to two fandoms: Galavant and Daredevil. Some of these icons are from May, so not waiting too long to post icons didn't really work in this case, and there were more unposted icons from these fandoms than I thought ;)

I'm back to updating just once a month it seems, but I also have fewer icons to post since I'm not making that many at the moment for two reasons. First, like I said in my last entry, it's a hot summer and I have recurring back problems which prevent me from sitting down for extended periods of time. Anyway, I signed up for 20inspirations' Flashback challenge (+two lims contests) and actually made it thanks to the extension! I'm really cutting it close this time, so there are some icons I'm not that happy with, but I don't have the time to change anything before the deadline. Well, there are also icons I really like ;)

I can't remember the last time I was this happy with a batch. Many of these were made for the last tmfaction activity, but the majority of the Black Sails icons were made just cause I was in the mood for making them which hasn't happened in a while, I usually make icons for challenges and activities nowadays. The fandoms themselves (Daredevil <3) are also a reason why I love this post and I supposed I also like how most of these turned out ;)
