ICON NOMINATIONS - JOIN IN! | MY THREAD

This time I only managed to make 10 icons for somein30. The October theme is Heroes vs. Villains and the inspiration post is gorgeous. Despite that, I had a hard time coming up with something to make even though I watch a lot of superhero/comic book media. I never really played around with the new 100kB for userpics, so I settled on making animated icons. However, I only did 5 of them. That means the "villain" portion of this set is really the star of the show. For everyone who doesn't like animated icons, I have also included basic alternates of all the icons in addition to the "regular" alternates.

I did not want to disappear for so long, that just happened. The entire time I was still making icons, I never felt like updating though. Anyway, here are some brand new icons I made for this month's monthlyinspo challenge "Sorting Hat" and some LIMS entries from January. For the Sorting Hat challenge I focused characteristic of the different Hogwarts houses (adding the quotes form the inspiration post) since I like sorting characters into their houses :D

Again, this entry has two parts: My set for 10in30 and some Jessica Jones icons. Most of the latter were made for tvlims, hence the number of alternates. Some of them are from January which is why it was really time to post these.
RL is a little busy right now, so while I wanted to make some more icons after finishing my 20muses set, it just didn't work out. I just managed to finish the Gotham icons today. I already started on them before RL happened and didn't want to abandon the whole set. All things considered, I am rather happy with them. My plan to make vibrant icons for the villains worked out ;)

It's summer in Germany, a very hot summer. I'm not a fan of high temperatures (or the sun...), so while I do spend a lot of time inside, I try to use my laptop as little as possible or rather use it only to check my usual sites to prevent overheating (it's not the newest one either). I honestly didn't feel like updating this community during that time and I haven't opened PS (again, it needs a lot of resources=computer gets hotter) in over a week, even though there were some challenges I wanted to enter :/
Today was a lot colder, hence the update, and tomorrow should be, too, so hopefully I'll manage to make some icons tomorrow before it gets warmer again on Friday and Saturday.

New round of ic0nfest!

I'm running out of excuses and I have no clue why I haven't managed to post any icons yet (now I have enough for three posts already). I noticed that icons from the new host I used in my last entry sometimes won't load. For me that's even worse than the photobucket problem, especially considering that it just happens in Firefox (thanks for the info, jsfunction!). This post includes the icons from mmcbattle, hence the long inspiration list below the icon table and then there's the fact that I didn't understand the rules correctly and made some more icons which I did not submit after reading the rules again *face palm*
At the end are my entries for lims_tvandfilm (that's why the GotG icons have so many alternates, I was voted out pretty early though).

Okay, these are a lot more icons than I'd usually put into one post, but I really want to post them all at once to get all of the unposted icons from 2014 out here, otherwise I'll still be posting leftovers in February. And it made me realize how old some of these are, I haven't posted any of my The Blacklist icons since June o.O

I used a different host for some of these, please let me know if there are any problems! So far I've always used photobucket and was happy with it, but a couple of months ago I started having problems when I wanted to save other people's icons and though it was either my adblock or noscript until I found out I'm not the only one with this problem. While I'd prefer continue to use photbucket, it makes no sense to make it hard on people who want to save them.
