In the end it was not my new job that prevented me from making more icons and updating this community in 2023, but getting Covid in October. Even though it was a mild case (or what is typically referred to as one), it reduced my energy levels. That effect is still persisting. Icons and related activities, and keeping up with DW/LJ in general, had to fall by the wayside. I hope to get back into icon making some time next year or at least keep up with what everyone else is doing. For now, here are all the unposted icons I made until September.

ICON NOMINATIONS - JOIN IN! | MY THREAD

Finally, my entry for somein30. The theme "All Things Random" was absolutely amazing and super inspiring. I started right away and made 1-2 icons per day, but then kinda lost momentum and really needed that extension. Nevertheless, I'm very happy with my set. Usually I lament the fact that it does not look coherent. This time I went into the opposite direction. I thought it would fit the theme to use as many different styles/techniques as possible. That didn't quite work out, but this time I like how chaotic the overall look is. I also really wanted to use 20 different fandoms which was much easier.

You may have noticed that there wasn't another update in December. Livejournal kinda stopped working for me for a couple of days. I decided to wait for the results of the last movie_lims round (Zootopia), so I would be able to post really ALL icons I made in 2016 (except for 015-021 which were made this week). I actually made it to the final three and overall placed third. I honestly thought that this particular round was awesome and challenging! The makers who participated were all great and it was hard to vote off someone every week. I'm looking forward to the next round :D
